What I can gather this is a Spanish Gold Excelantes coin from late 1400's - 1500's. Not sure the denomination? Market Value?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I think it might be a type of gold escudo. The reverse shows a shield of that type.
The obverse image seems to be rotated 90 degrees left.I can see a crown in the field.
It also appears to have been i two fragments and soldered together.
