Possible idea for a group sub - crossovers & reholders only - making it happen

I have a small handful of cards I want to cross over, plus a few that need reholdering (due to either damage or mislabellin of variations), but don't really want to pay $20 in return shipping for such a small lot. These are nothing too special, but I'd still like to get them done IF it is cost effective. If anyone else is in a similar boat, maybe a group sub of this kind of thing is possible.

I have a few cards that need reholdered that I'd be interested in jumping in on.

I can add 2-3 reholders to the pile.

Is anyone doing a group sub soon?

If enough people are interested, and we get enough reholders for a sub and crossovers for a sub, I'd be happy to organize it for December.

I have 4 reholders and about 5 crossovers myself. Counting the ones listed above, we still have a ways to go to get to 50 each. If we only make it to 50 combined, at least we've saved some return postage.

  • I'd be interested. I have about half a dozen cards I'd like to get reholdered.

Can tallboys be reholdered with the same order as standard size cards? Gotta a couple cracked triple folders that I'd add to the pile.

Are you aware that PSA will fix mis-id'd cards for FREE? After all, it was there mistake, not yours. Mistakes on variations seem to be too common.

For this scenerio, write MECHANICAL at the top of the form. Ignore the shipping part of the form, but be sure to list card values for insurance purposes.
I always send my "mechanical" submissions with regular submissions. I've seen where others send them separate and get reimbursed for postage.

Send email to the PSA people if you need more details or confirmation of this info.

    A few notes here:

    1) I'm 90% sure that tallboys can't be in the same submission. Maybe one of those asking about that can contact CS and confirm.
    2) By my math, we're already over halfway to making this sub work (at least as a combo reholder/crossover sub), so I'd like to get some semi-firm comittments and some more takers so that we can make this happen before the holidays. Call me crazy, but I'd love to see these logged in before we all punch out mentally for Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Festivus.

    Thanks,
    Bob

Looks like this is dying on the vine due to lack of interest. If there aren't several firm committments this week, I'll drop the idea. Just stinks having to pay full return shipping costs for <10 cards.

I can confirm 1 for now. I'll check my collection at home tonight to see if I can add more.

Be more specific about this and folks may jump on board. What values for the crossovers? What size cards? All years included? Lots of questions I have. Others may have more questions.

To clarify, I'm in for 1 regular sized reholder.

Mine all fit into the $4.25 special - 64 to present, regular size under $100 - so that's the kind of group partners I'm looking for.

  • A couple of the cards I'd like to reholder are worth more than $100; I didn't know there was a dollar limit. I'd still be good for maybe 3.

  • I'm planning on going to the show at the Westchester County Center January 14-16, so if anyone wants me to bring anything to the table with me, I'll be happy to do that.

I have several cards of my own I'm bringing to have graded at that time.

I don't think there is a limit on the reholder, just the grading submission. If bking doesn't want to lead the reholder, I will.
