is ebay now charging fees for a revision?

I had to revise an item this morning , after getting to the last page where it usually says fees are 0, it now shows the listing fee . I clicked it anyway and sure enough I was billed another insertion fee. I double checked my listings and there was only 1 item and the insertion fee is under the same item number both times in my account screen. what a bunch of crap.

This must be brand new because I revised something last week and I wasn't charged.

Did you modify the starting bid price? Sometimes that can cause a previously free listing to no longer be free.

It's likely that it's just a glitch. It happened to me a year or two ago. I don't see anything about it on the "fees" page.

did you add a buy it now? I believe that's a 4 bit charge.

I jsut updated the description and was charged an insertion fee.

hopefully it is a glitch, when I mass list stuff I tend to miss a couple things like a picture change or leave a first name of the previous card in the title. I then check them once listed in bulk in my ebay. would really slow me down if I have to be so careful up front

I modified something yesterday and there was no extra fee.

Last week week when I tried to modify the description I was charged a fee (I ended up not revising it).

If you modified using their turbo lister/editor then it is a glitch.

Did you originally list it under a free or discounted special?

I haven't had any problems either.
I believe if you change the starting bid, added BIN, change from auction to fixed,
added multiple category, or extended the days, it will affect the fees. Anything in the first section.

Revising your description, shipping, and the latter half shouldn't incur any additonal fees.
  • I noticed this today. I was just wanting to change my shipping fees on a few items and each one incurred a fee. FYI

Same here...kinda strange...I tried to revise a card in my ebay store and had the .05 fee, so I refreshed it a couple of times and it was still there....not sure what's up, but that really sucks if it's a new fee.
