Royal Mint at work 1905

I recently purchased some coloured postcards picturing the coin minting process at the Royal Mint during 1905 and uploaded them to my site.

Yes, thanks for sharing the cards.

Not to pirate the post, but what was the reason for such a small minting of shillings through halfcrowns? I should know the answer off the cuff, and it may have something to do with the economy??

I don't like the recolouring, I would have preferred them in black and white, but they are an exciting item to have. image

Very interesting postcards. Thank you for sharing them.

1905 is quite a tough date for silver in general.
