    I vote either post-mint damage, or a repunched D.

    Looks to me like the die may have 'chipped' or broken away at the mint mark location, resulting in a small cud; or perhaps a filled mintmark. No D/S mintmark.

    Exactly, that looks like the bottom end of a "P" more than anything else ???

    I almost fell off my chair when I read the title of this Thread.

    That's all I need - an over MM.

    Looks like a die chip - I just can't see
    any resemblance to an S under the D.

    Post-strike damage that has been smoothed down from circulation. Definitely NOT a D/S.
