Probably the most important regular season game for Michigan State football in at least 20 years

MSU vs Penn State. The Spartans are 0-8 at Happy Valley.


They need to win this game and have the Wolverines beat Ohio State at the Horseshoe in order to get to the Rose Bowl.

The odds are against them but this should be an interesting day.

    I can MSU winning at PSU, but I do not see Michigan beat OSU.

    Michigan State is a good team- I still see Wisconsin and OSU as better... I know... MSU beat Wisconsin but I still see the Badgers as the better team if I had to rank them

    It looks like wisconsin will get the rose bowl birth if they beat northwestern which is highly likely. Ohio state will probably get a spot in the sugar bowl. Not sure if michigan state will get a BCS bowl being ranked behind OSU and wisconsin, but with only one loss their chances should be pretty good.

    Regardless, another big win for MSU. They might not be ranked as the best, but they found ways to win this year, something that lacked before Dantonio took over.

    only UW and OSU really took care of business against the common teams they all played. then UW beat OSU pretty bad when OSU was #1. i would venture to say if UW played MSU tomorrow or 5 weeks from now the line would be strong for UW.

    I was hoping Boise would have won last night. A wisconsin vs Boise state Rose bowl wouldve been fun to watch.

    actually the more entertaining rosebowl might be UW vs Stanford. talk about a throwback game.

    i am not quite sure that boise state could hang with that tuff oline the badgers have.
