Computer meltdown leaves Aussies without cash

SYDNEY (AFP) – A freak computer glitch at Australia's biggest bank froze cash machines and left millions of people struggling to access their money.

National Australia Bank (NAB) said a corrupted file wiped out a huge number of transactions, including salary payments and transfers, and crashed some ATMs, angering many customers who were facing a weekend without money.

    Money is worthless. All money is these days is "faith" in your government. Better to invest in gold, silver, food..lots of food. Banks make more in fees than they pay out in interest anymore. There was a time long ago where you made money from banks. It's all a sham now.

    Everyone should have a large enough stash of fiat cash at home in the event things like this occur. What would you do if our ATM's and banks closed for a 3-5 day "holiday?"
