Muggyman Question about getting an autograph (on a pack)

Hi all, Happy Thanksgiving!

I am sending in this 1976 Topps cello pack (to Steiner Sports) with Ron "Gator" Guidry on top for him to sign ON THE CELLO PACK.

Most of you will probably say this is foolish, but I do not collect autographs and for the infrequent time I can have someone sign on top of their RC pack, i try to do it. A la the Muggyman "1 of 1"!

So, I am sending this 1976 cello pack with Guidry on top for him to sign via Steiner Sports next Saturday...
Steiner Sports upcoming signings

My question is...
Where do I have him sign it? and What color sharpee?

Oh, and then when I get it back, I will send it in to PSA to grade the autograph and then grade and seal the cello pack w/AUTO on top.

Thanks for contributing, 'sorry to post on Thanksgiving; I am thankful!

What choo think?

I'd go for blue fine point sharpie. Have him sign right across the top. Don't worry about it going onto the the picture next to his. And probably frame it off with post its

Probably the only other place where a sig would look good would be on the yellow area on the bottom above "1976 Rookie Pitchers". Mugs, I have NO IDEA what ink would work best on the cellophane.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY to a fellow New Yawka!
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
  • Thanks! 'Already 2 great responses and thank you Doug-er!!!

  • take some old cello and try a few inks... my experience with writing on that kind of stuff is typically it shows up, but then slides around and thins up within seconds... Good luck!

I agree with griffins---blue sharpie fine point.

Happy Day Old Turkey men....some good guys posting here!
  • I agree with previous posts about fine point and testing out a pack (if possible). For location, I would have it go either right above his head horizontally or to the left of his head (starting right next to Topps) and working vertically towards the top.
