Rare Yaz Card Added to #1 Master Set

OK so it's not really a card but a coin. The rare '62 Salada Tea Coin--the clip back variety. Not sure how many exist but for comparison purposes the Yaz Rookie Venezuela>>>ultra tuff!...has a 9 rating for registry purposes. The clip back is an 8.

Will send off to PSA for grading soon

Nice piece. The hard part here is finding a clip back to begin with... when you do, there is an extremely high probability it is a Yaz. Unfortunately, Salada inserts were not glued into the coins, they were pressed in. Therefore, with the right technique, they are easy to remove. If someone owned a clip back and it had a common player in it, it wouldn't take much effort to remove the other player, and a Yaz (removed from a standard Salada coin) could be inserted and just like that, the coin is worth a couple hundred more.

The Venezuelan Yaz you speak of is a far rarer item than the clip back. They are few and far between and really should be the only card weighted a 10 in the entire master set, as the value of a 1960 Venezuelan Yaz in PSA 8 (which is how PSA supposedly determines weighting) would easily surpass the value of any other item in the set graded a PSA 8. Of course, a 1960 Venezuelan Yaz in PSA 8 does not exist and none of that condition will probably ever surface.

    good info indeed.

I am not worried about it being authentic--very reputable seller--and it will fill a hole in my Yaz set that may make me unbeatable. So for that I am thrilled to own it
