Free Mercury dime, rec'd

A couple months ago I was scanning the radio on the drive home when I heard a commercial offering a free silver dime. It was a promotion by a bullion-trading firm. I called the number (in Georgia you can use your cell phone while driving). A cartoonish Brooklyn accent answered, asking where I heard the radio spot. Then: "Are you interested in buying bullion, or do you just want the dime?" I must have hesitated, because he then said, "Either way is okay." So I told him, "Mainly interested in the dime."

He asked for my name and mailing address. I suspected he was just pretending to take the information down. (I should have asked him to read it back to me.)

Well, of course the package never arrived.

Driving home last week, I heard the same (or a similar) radio commercial, and, being stuck in Atlanta's famous three-miles-per-hour traffic, decided to call again. Gave my information. Didn't hold any great expectations. But this time the coin was actually shipped! I got it in the mail yesterday.

It's a 1941 Mercury dime, in a 2x2 plastic flip.

I would grade it VG-10 (obverse) and G-6 (reverse).
