Satin finish 1936 proofs.

I have a theory about the 1936 satin proof coins, and hope some board members can provide information.

Please look at the field near the rim of any of the coins using 50x or greater magnification, and describe what you see. I’ll discuss the theory more, after data are received.

I took these photos of my 1936 satin proof buffalo with a Dino Lite. Sorry for the photo sizes but I figure you want to see detail. I have no idea what the actual magnification was. Does this help?
