George W. Bush autographed book Decision Points Pre-Sale, GOT'EM DONE, sold out for now
I just got back from waiting in line in Waco, TX for over 7 hours and I secured 2 wristbands for the George W. Bush book signing on Tuesday. Each wristband is going to allow me to get two books signed, so between my daughter and I, we will have 4 signed books. At least 3 of these will be available for sale.
I went to the Dallas signing a couple weeks ago, and sold 3 books the same day I got back, one for $185.00, one for $200.00 and one for $225.00, all sold within a matter of minutes of me offering them for sale.
I am offering a special "Presale" on 3 of the books that will be signed Tuesday. $175.00 plus shipping (shipping runs about $12 via USPS Priority Mail in the Continental US, outside locations pay additional shipping). You must pay me via paypal gift, and no later than Monday night at 6 PM CST to reserve your copy. Of course, if for some odd reason the books don't get signed, I'll refund you promptly on Tuesday when I get back from Waco.
If you want in, just post in this thread to reserve a spot, 1st 3 to post that they are definitely in, get the 1st rights to a book provided they pay by Monday night at 6 PM CST

No problem, I don't consider your questions to be insulting or a downer. To answer your questions:

And are they "1st edition"? According to the "credits (I don't know the technical term for that page)" page of the book, they all state FIRST EDITION.
I'm offering a decent deal. Can you find better deals? Perhaps. If I sell them, that's cool, if not, that's fine too as I don't need to sell them. Just offering board members what I consider a decent deal, from a trusted, proven seller, on a book that's a relatively hot commodity this holiday season. A lot of the cheap ones you see on ebay are signed on bookplates, not the book itself. These will be signed on the book itself. That's a huge difference in desirability

Mike, the book may be a first edition, but look for the printing -- first edition/first printing are what collectors really look for.

Gentleman, here is an actual picture (not photoshopped, or otherwise altered) of what I call the "credit" page of one of the books that is going to be signed. It is a first edition, first printing, as shown by the numerical line that goes 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 (if it was a second printing, the 1 would not be there, if it was a 3rd printing, the 1 and 2 would not be there, etc.) and the First Edition printed underneath it.
I just compared it to the ones that were signed in Dallas on the very first day of the books release, and the very first day of his book tour, and they are the same.

I'm not sure right now what the eventual outcome of that piece will be, but right now, I'm leaning toward keeping it. I kind of like it
I definitely could use the "thunderdan translation service" as I have a difficult time reading Spanish, much less Arabic. I propose a trade if you are interested. I would give you an unsigned Iraqi ballot, and in exchange, you tranlsate it to English and send me the English interpretation, you can keep the unsigned Iraqi ballot for your own collection.
