"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. I bunch of those Morgans traveled around with PCGS to various large shows in the late 1990's A couple of prominent collectors (The NFL collection?) owned most of them. Attractive set that was obviously, later broken up.

I saw this set at Long Beach many years ago and was thrilled with the presentation.

That coin was from the old PCGS Tour set......a set of many of the finest known for the date Morgans (at the time) that PCGS displayed as a set at major shows around the country many years ago. If I remember, the coins were all owned by private individuals and on loan to PCGS for the traveling display. I think I remember the Tour Set being a large glass enclosed rotating display with all the coins mounted vertically.

Jack Lee and Michael Casper are two names that pop in my head. Could be wrong though as it's been many years since of heard of thought of this set.

I believe that the PCGS Tour set was an amalgam of finest knowns that PCGS could assemble.

I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.
