1968 Mira Lew Alcindor (guess the grade)

Does anyone have an idea what this card is worth or have seen any recent sales in this card?

  • eags, do you have a scan? One of my favorite issues. Mid grade (psa 4-5-6) can run between 400 - 800 respectively. Love the oddball hoop runs.

The market has really softened on this issue because of a bunch of them hitting it all at once. When a few hit Lelands several years ago, mid grade went in the $900 range. A year ago I sold a PSA 4 for under $300 and they seem to be even cheaper now if they run for a straight auction.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know if the lotto back sells at premium or not? There seems to be 2 versions of this card. Originally i thought the pop report just made an error and labeled the same card 2 different ways but ive seen 2 different backs. Accourding to the pop report the lotto version is more rare. Only 2 ever graded. here is a scan of the lotto back.

What do you think this will grade with the tape mark on the back? does it have a shot at a 6?

2 really? Im not sure if the print defects on the front are actual pd or are because of the scan. I was thinking i was about a 6ST or 7ST. The centering and corners look pretty solid. The biggest problem is the stain on the back. Ill find out if the marks on the front are actually on the card.

  • Depending on how much they hit you for the stain probably 5-7, higher on a good day lower after the graders wife said no last night.

    Sean I like that.

To hard to tell in the pic how bad the corners are and you are fortunate the stain I see is on the back.

I believe a tape mark will knock the grade below a 5. Can you post scans against a black background?
