Two circulated '52 Lincolns

I was browsing some wheaties I'd rolled 30 years ago and came across these two. You think they are related?

At first glance, yes, after further staring at them both, I'd say no, the lower edge/arc of the crack is different.

Same date, different dies, similar (but not the same) die crack.

IMO, of course.

After staring at it some more, I'm not so sure that coin 1 couldn't be a later state of coin 2 with the die crack/cud simply growing in size as pieces of the die chip off.

Of course they are related. They are both 1952 Lincoln Cents. (I think different dies, but still releated.)

That's what I was thinking. Can't be sure. Still, I was surprised to find these two among half a roll of '52 Phillies.

Different in my opinion.
The crack line in the lower cent looks to extend beyond the point where the crack in the top cent heads southwest. If the top was a later die state, the crack heading southwest would be further back on Lincolns head.
