Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know that my website GemMintArt.com is now able to accept orders through paypal for anyone who is interested in ordering a limited edition print.

The website also has some high quality images of the prints so you can get a good look at them before ordering. Just another reminder, any commissioned work or ideas you might have please email me at Jack@GemMintArt.com

Thanks for all the support and sales already garnered through the Collectors Universe forums, thanks for the support and please spread the word!

    A couple thoughts:

    1) Having your watermark superimposed across the image is not going to help your sales. It's really hard to get an idea of what these prints look like.

    2) You should include prices on the home page, along with something on the size of the print, the kind of paper the image is printed on, how it will be shipped, and so forth.

  • Also, I would consider adding an about the artist and an about the artwork page.

Good luck, they look nice. Make a Steve Young or Tony Gonzalez (FB) print, and you have a sale. (I will ignore a 12 other players would sell better if you will...:^)
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

Consider adding google-checkout to your payment options.

Consider getting rid of the watermarks. They detract from
the art. The link below offers better solutions.

You may want to actually put the price of the prints on that page.

  • Thanks for the input guys, the website is still in it's infancy, so bear with me. I do appreciate the constructive criticism, I think I'll remove the watermark because when I do print the artwork out, it's so much more detailed than the web images that it wouldn't even matter if someone stole it I guess.

Prices, they will be on the page soon, but fyi, $20 each, $50 for all 3.

Boopotts, good call on the prices, that was meant to be up there, just an oversight, thanks for the heads up. As far as the shipping and type of stock, that will all be included once the site is finished, but I agree, it has to be up there for all to see. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Meteorite Guy, about the artist, about the work, all that kind of stuff will be done eventually, thank you for pointing that out. I've honestly been busy creating the artwork that I haven't had a chance to write those areas yet, but all that, about me, contact, other work, commissioned work, etc, will be there when the site is 100% As far as Steve Young and Tony Gonzalez, send me an email and I'll add them to the list, just want to see what exactly you are looking for, a card tribute, photo, something different, whatever you want, shoot me an email at Jack@GemMintArt.com anytime to discuss, no obligation expressed or implied lol, if you don't like it when I'm done, no need to buy one, I just love to draw them. Thank you for the compliment btw, I very much appreciate that.

Storm888, I'm working on a different solution, thanks a ton for the link, those are some interesting ideas. I appreciate the effort to set up the link for me, this is a very helpful board! Thanks a lot, really.

Alifaxwa2, Thanks, kind of just an oversight, should have it fixed by tonight, good looking out, much obliged.

To all, thanks for the kind words, encouragement, suggestions and inspiration, I hope some of you enjoy my work. Keep the information flowing, any feedback is helpful!
  • Prices are now on the site before you click, thanks for the tip all!
  • I'd like to see the prints without the players autograph already on the print. I think they'd look great with real auto's... If you do some players I collect I'd consider buying them to have the auto'ed.

Good luck with your site and sales!

  • You know leathtech, I seriously considered that, but ultimately I wanted to pay tribute to the card as a whole. Obviously Ted is gone, but if Stan were ever to sign one of my pieces I feel like when you saw my work, it's pretty obvious a real auto on the print would look amazing and stand out completely. But in the future, I'll consider maybe leaving those faux sigs off the prints.

Thanks for good luck, I need it! They would look great auto'd, who are some players you collect? I can add them to the list, no obligation at all.

Jack, Wanted to let you know that I got my Musial Print. Excellent! These print's looks SO much better in person than on the computer screen and they look great on the computer screen. Thanks very much for nice secure shipping and a timely transaction.
  • Thanks Matt, I'm glad you like it. Just got my Musial back from framing, looks great in a frame. Only problem for me is the wife won't let me keep them up on the walls in our house! Oh well, time to finish the basement I guess! Thanks again for everyones advice and kind words.

I'd charge more for the Musial since you're only printing 24 of them
    And do you sign these?

I'd love to see a Sandberg or Banks... if you ever jump into football Sayers or Butkus. I'd be looking to get them signed and all these guys are easy to get.
