Anyone ever use the bill me later feature with paypal?

If so how exactly does it work? Do you just make monthly payments through your paypal account? Do you have the ability to pay the entire balance off at once with a lump sum payment? Just curious of the details of the feature.

  • I glanced it over and it looked like at the time it was basically a credit card, and from my understanding if you were approved for say $500...it would put $500 in your PP account. So, in others words, it is a maxed out credit card.

e/p gets enough of my money.

Seems vague that you would sign up when you check out after you win an auction. Why do you not sign up before?

does not seem that appealling. I just keep getting offered the option, and was wondering if anyone here had tried it.

  • I signed up, it is a credit card, did require me to provide information, for ebay purchases with extended payment options. Starts you at $500 limit, if you qualify, although it seems you qualify if they offer it to you, then they evaluate and can/will raise your limit as they see fit. They do send your statement electronically, only signed up last week, have yet to receive one. I did it for no finance charge for an extended period, like Lowes or Home Depot.

  • I use it quite often. Mainly for work. Signed up as I rec'd 20% initial purchase IIRC. It's like a C.C., but with a crazy interest rate. I just rec'd my bill. Owe $1250. Can pay it from my Paypal acct.,bank acct, mail in a check/M.O. etc. You can get your limit raised. At least mine did, 2x on it's own.

I pay it in full every month. So I never pay anything "extra".
