Anyone have any info on this 1832 gold sovereign?

I am not up to speed on this piece and would like some info to pass along to a friend.
Is this coin in it's cleaned state worth any more than melt?
Any info/help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

That coin has suffered a pretty harsh cleaning, but it is still not a coin you run into every day.

  • I would pay well over melt for it; not 2x since it seems harshly cleaned but still worth a good premium. Please let me know if it's for sale.
