Schlitz Beer and the 1954 Milwaukee Braves

As long time Braves fan, this is definately one of my all time favorite items. Oh to have been able to get each page autographed. I especially love the Hank Aaro with this being his rookie year.

That's incredibly cool. I love the caricatures. Similar enough to Topps cartoons to evoke them but different enough to clearly be their own thing.

off topic but the mention of Schlitz beer reminded me of my buddy who used to sneak a twelve pack of Schlitz into the bowling alley every Wednesday for our league.....will never forget that.....when it got harder to find Schlitz he switched to Schaeffers......image

If you collect magazines of the time, you've read far worse.

i am sure no one really cares but is kinda on topic here. my dad was an usher at the first braves game in milwaukee. he was in college and they didnt have enough ushers yet after the move from boston. so the braves went to his college to enlist ushers. so he saw his first pro-baseball game for free.

Thanks for sharing about your dad being an usher at the Braves games. I bet it was fantastic. As a child I lived in Atlanta, and because my dad worked for the Delta Air Lines, the official airlines of the Braves, I got to see a lot of the games. Milwaukee County was a great staduim in its' day.
