Well, I can't afford to keep buying 1 ouncers of gold anymore. It is getting beyond my budget.
So I'm going to begin buying 5-10 gram gold bars instead of 1 ozers. Anyone else in my boat ?

I dont think you are the only one doing this. I see AMPEX is out of 5 and 10 gram bars

I have always been in that boat!
The only 1oz I have is the UHR.

If I find something close or under melt I buy. 90% of my gold was bought at $550-$650 an ounce. I don't have as much as other forum members, but still a decent amount. I sold most of my silver this weekend. Could have waited but that's the game. Currently looking for good prices on smaller bars & coins. Adding a little at a time to my stash, but not nearly as much as before.
