Storm need Help

I tried to search, but couldn't find. Shipped an item with DC, and the package is "Stuck" in another state. Buyer now opened a case for Item not delivered. Do I have any recourse, or will Paypal rule in their favor?

I have checked with my PO but they were little help. I tried the 1800 postal number but couldn't get a human on the phone.

Your only recourse will be with USPS, IF you bought insurance. Happened to me as the buyer this summer, I filed the not recieved, and after seller responded, I had to call to talk to someone with paypal since the system didnt give me the option I wanted. The person on phone checked the DC#, saw it was stuck, and refunded my money right then. Item is still in OK City since 29July.

With the 1800 number, keep saying operator, after a few tries it usually takes you to someone. You could always call the PO office in the zip it is stuck.

    Call PP.

If the package has not been "stuck" for too long,
they might tell the buyer to wait a few more days.

Otherwise, the buyer will get a refund and PROLLY
    not reissue your payment.

Once the item shows as "delivered," you can try
to get PP to reverse the refund. They prolly won't,
but sometimes they do; inconsistent policy.

If the item was USPS insured, you can file a claim
IF the buyer continues to claim INR or refuses to
respond to your query. USPS will look into it and
if they won't pay, you can call PP and ask them to
reverse the refund again; maybe they will, maybe
    not.

    good luck

  • Evening,

Interesting, I had similar situation albeit a little different. This spring, sent $40 worth of Hollywood Photos to Bethesda, Maryland with DC, No Insurance. Buyer starts bugging me day 7, and I kept checking, they actually were very patient and finally filed Not Recieved on about day 30. I called the Post Ofiice in Bethesda and they told me the Zip Code is for the Military Hospital/Medical Center which is like its own City. They told me I was SOL. I contacted Paypal, they refunded Buyers money (Which was fine), but would not refund any Fees and told me to take it up with the Postal Service. Almost a 6 months later its still waiting for delivery.

  • Once a package enters the USPS system and it can be shown as being tracked and on its way, it seems as though the seller should be off the hook (ie that's proof that the package was actually mailed).

    That would be nice.

Unfortunately, PayPal's INR rules are based on "delivery,"
    not "shipment."
