I have a German 10 marc coin, dated 1780.
Does it have a collector's value that would be more than the value of just it's silver content?
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks;
Jack

I don't believe that they made a 10 Mark in Germany until the early 1870's. Post a pic if you can and I will id it.
1901 German Prussia 2 Mark, .3215 oz asw, 90%
1904 Bavaria 2 Mark, .3215 oz asw, 90%
1960 Turkey 10 Lira, .4003 oz asw, 83%
1936 German 5 Reichsmark, .4016 oz asw, 90%
Thanks for identifying those coins for me. Very much appreciated.
Two last questions;
The 1780 coin is also silver?
Are any of the coins worth more than their silver content?

Jack

Yes, but I don't know enough about the Maria Theresa to say how much silver is in it.
I doubt any of them are worth more than melt.
Looks like I missed the 1895 Prussia 5 Mark .8037 oz asw, 90%
Thanks for those final details. I appreicate all the help.

Jack
