New China Panda & Lunar Prices newsletter

I have started a newsletter that features prices for Panda and Chinese Lunar coins called Panda Pricepedia (a friend came up with the name, thanks Ned). Because it will be issued every 4-5 weeks I consider it a companion piece to the Gold and Silver Panda Coin Buyer's Guide book. There was no point to putting prices in the book because they would be outdated in a short time. Even so many readers have expressed the wish that it did include prices, so here is a way to keep the list fairly current.

Besides the Panda prices there are prices for about 95% of the Lunar coins, too. That makes more than 700 coins priced in this issue. The prices are derived from dealer buy and sell lists in China, North America and Europe so they should reflect global supply and demand. There will also be articles in coming months about Panda varieties and populations that add to the information in the book. This will include population estimates for more of the gold Panda varieties. I also believe I have at least one new gold date variety to report.

Hopefully this will prove to be an enjoyable publication for everyone and fill in some of the blanks that exist right now for those who don't have enough time to gather all the information themselves. The dealers I've shown Panda Pricepedia to have been enthusiastic (no exaggeration) about it and I find my own copy to be quite handy for quickly checking a price. It's available as a printable pdf so you can make your own hard copy. The first three months are $14.88. More info is at http://www.pandacollector.com/pricepedia.html. Thanks for the bandwidth and happy collecting.

Best wishes,
Peter Anthony
