I pulled all of the cards in this submission from wax and rack packs from sets I'm putting together primarily from unopened product. I am especially jazzed about the PSA 10 1975 Topps mini #448 Frank Duffy, a pop 1/2 and only my 3rd gem mint pull of that issue from a pack.

    I am in the same boat as you Carew. I am waiting on 117.


    I am happy you got grades you are thrilled with but the process is quite strange how they don't grade first in and first out.

    Sell the 1975 Mini Duffy and get a nice 9 for your set.

    Good advice, Nick, and i will probably do that, as I've sold one of the other two 10s I pulled (which was and still is a 1/1).

    It's difficult to gauge the value of PSA 10s in this set sometimes for a variety of reasons, but I've seen similar low pops go in the $400-$500 range.

    My subs tend to pop rather quickly, and I usually submit all baseball and all from the 1970s, which may speed up the process.

    Was really hoping to pull a 9 on the C. Washington which may be the toughest card in the set...this one is very nicely centered but color is a bit washed out, which I assume is the reason for the 7.

    A PSA 9 sells for around $10, but a PSA 10, of which there is only 1 other, is anyone's guess. The #1 1975 Mini set has the other PSA 10, so that doesn't help matters, but there would be enough interest for this card to do very well if you have a decent eBay following. If you do not have a strong eBay presence, then my advice is to consign this card to prewarcardcollector. Good luck Tim.

    So this is a big money set collector card.

    I personally think the set collecting concept in high grade is quite enjoyable and makes sense.

    If you are not a set collector cut the baby lose, other wise this is a great addition.

    Good luck either way.

    If you can get 9's for only $10, I would keep the 10 all the way. That's the collecting part of me talking here. It hasn't happened to me but you would think getting a 10 from your own submission would just want you to hold onto to it even more. Keep it!
