Crack outs and regraded......the results are here!

I cracked out two 19th century cards to be included in my PSA set registries..........

First was a GAI 7 Matsada Sorakichi (wrestler) from the Allen and Ginter n28 series, I got a PSA 6...... with GAI getting little respect that is pretty much a lateral move.

My next crackout was essentially a SGC 5 of 1887 Kimballs Clarence Whistler, there were no cards over 3 in the pop report and I got a 6.5 on that one!!! I am excited over that "crossover".

Very nice. Out of curiosity, how does a card qualify for being 'essentially' an SGC 5?

I just said that because I like the 1-10 system more so than the numbering system of SGC to 100.

  • Good eye. I would consider both a bump.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

Avoiding "altered card stock" etc from GAI could be considered a bump. I agree that it is nice to have that concern alleviated.
