Need help searching for two types of medals.

All I can do is describe the types I'm looking for, by memory.

The first set - Large medals, with a very high relief images of churches on one side.

The second set - It's been a few years since I saw any of these, the only way I can describe them is being very dark in nature, very Goth, also in high relief.

Any help and pictures would be most welcome.

Regards
Ron

The 1st set you describe sounds like the Weiner series of church medals. I saw my 1st example "live" at Coinfest 2 weeks ago. There's a few folks here that collect them.

The 2nd set doesn't ring a bell for me.

Wieners and Goetz. Attorneys at law.

Search this board for Goetz and this board and the US coin board for Weiner and you will find many threads with pictures of these medals.

Love both of the series! image

You might try this site, a large variety from all areas.

Is this something like you saw? It is York Cathedral by J. Weiner
