Former Negro League great and New York Giant Artie Wilson dies at 90

http://www.examiner.com/baseball-history-in-new-york/artie-wilson-new-york-giants-shortstop-and-negro-league-star-dies-at-90

If Artie would have lived one more day, he would have seen his Giants win the World Series. A star in the Negro Leagues who had too brief of a shot in the majors as a 31 year old "rookie", Wilson batted .402 for the Birmingham Black Barons in 1948 and was a star in the Pacific Coast League in the 1950's.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Wilson is found in the 1949 and 1950 Remar Bread Oakland Oaks sets if interested... when found they are usually under $25, and often even lower. Ive owned many over the years but dont have one now to show image
