The thought process is that a card with "a perfectly centered, crisp gem WITH a 1cm micro-wrinkle on the back" needs to grade lower than "a perfectly centered, crisp gem WITHOUT a 1cm micro-wrinkle on the back".

the Gibson Rc is a very tough high# card to find perfectly centered,of the eight - PSA 7 that are on ebay now, I would pick this one as # 1 and the one your showing as # 2 even with the diamond cut. JMHO
That's a good looking '7'. I guess centered any better, and it would be an '8'. There are a couple of '8''s in the current Mile High Auction. One by PSA and one by SGC. The SGC one seems to have some centering issues as well.....

Nevermind, just noticed you asked a different question.
i'll never understand the thought process behind calling that a 7 or calling a perfectly centered, crisp gem with a 1cm micro-wrinkle on the back a 5.

So make it an 8 instead of a 5.

If you look at width of white border on L&R and follow it you will see the width change.
