College Football- surprises and disappointments

Who are your biggest surprises and disappointments?

In terms of defense, I think Illinois may have the most improved defense in the country= OBVIOUSLY NOT THE BEST- JUST THE MOST IMPROVED

I see Stanford, Michigan State and Missouri as the teams that have exceeded expectations and even to an extent LSU, but they have had some unusual luck this year that is worth a thread by itself

In terms of disappointments-

Texas and Notre Dame seem to make my short list

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.

I'm VERY disappointed that my Cats came so CLOSE to beating both Auburn (who is now in third place in the AP Poll I believe) and now Mississippi State, but almost means nothing. image While I'm certainly pleased as punch we did beat a top ten team this year, imagine if we had beaten those other two teams as well; we'd be contenders for a much better bowl game for sure but it looks like once again this year we'll have to settle for another no-name bowl. image

Oh well, b-ball season starts up in a few weeks!! image
