I don't exactly have my thumb on the pulse of Favre cards, but if they are in fact dropping in value right now, I would buy as many as you can now, because they will only go back up when this blows over.

It is my understanding that the photos were meant for his wife Deanna Favre, but Favre being Favre...they were intercepted.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
I would think his cards would be losing value more over how horrible he's been playing than because of his off the field issues. It's time to hang em up old man!
I guess "higher dollar cards" is relative from one buyer to the next, but I haven't noticed any large value change in Favre cards recently. They took more of a hit after his first retirement (if he hasn't missed a game did he ever really retire?!?) and from the economy.
But admittedly, I don't pay as close attention as I used to either.
There are likely a couple hundred Favre cards in the $100 plus range....as with most other modern HOFers.

I would never have guessed someone would pay that kind of money for a Favre card. Never even heard of Wild Card 100 Stripe. Wow.
Anybody familiar with the Favre pro set spanish rookie? I picked up a couple because they were different, but I have not seen a psa 10 or bgs 9.5 for sale.

What's tough about all of the Pro Set cards is that the card stock is pretty thin, so the card chips very easily. Most of it happens when the cards are cut at the factory. Due to it being a dark border card, with a black square on the back, its very easy to see the chipping. Although, there are a number of cards in PSA 10 holders that have visible chipping on the front or back.
There are currently (53) PSA 10s. You could have done really good on them a few years ago.

Suuuuuuuuuuure they were.
Sounds like a very good excuse to me. One that could get him off the hook with the wifey.
"Sorry honey I sent them to the wrong phone #. You know they were for you. I love you."
I am sure that was said to wifey too.
