The Sox actually gave away free Fenway dirt over the Summer, but it was in a cheesy zip lock bag.
  • Cool....just ordered one. I have never seen a steiner dirt capsule without an MLB hologram on it, so these likely have one as well.

The brown man just brought my last Steiner order yesterday.

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
  • I had about 50 of these and I am down to 2 now...you can't tell in the photo, but there is a MLB hologram on the back of the capsule.

Also, all the dirt crystal things (they look 10x better in person, like little Emmy Awards or something) come in velvet lined boxes.....and the keychains, also come in the velvet lined boxes. It is possible the capsule above will as well. Steiner typically does a great job on the packaging department. The boxes on the crystals have a hidden magnet that keep it tightly sealed.

Anyway, as a Steiner seller/collector....great promotion Steiner, get them while you can everyone.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
  • I want $60 on the crystals....free isn't bad.

It is a little funny. And the fact that it is dirt grown men played in doesn't make it better I imagine. But just think, Jeter might have spit on your dirt!

    lol paying for dirt.

career scoring record you can send me $10 paypal gift and I will send you some. Of course it has melted and is now a few drops of water in a tube.

I don't even like the Yankees, but I got some dirt.
  • how many left?

  • << <i>how many left? >>

Steiner has made them for about four years now and from every ballpark with productions of each in the tens of thousands. They sell capsules by themselves, and make keychains, plaques, photo things, cystal things, clocks and I am sure I am missing something.

    In other words...you better hurry.

An article in last weeks paper claimed they have a ton of this dirt in a warehouse in New Rochelle NY.

I suppose though for 4.00 it's not a bad deal...................

odd that dirt is collectible. I actually planned on putting a handfull of dirt in my pocket a few years ago.. but got to the game late and the monuments were closed.. the packaging on this is way better than the zip lock bag i was planning on keeping it in.
Scans of most of my Misc rookies can be found <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://forums.collectors.com/m...y&keyword1=Non%20major">here
  • Well burn my boots, they've touched Yankee soil.

Has anyone received their DIRT yet? I ordered mine Sunday, and it says 2-3 days shipping, but have not seen anything yet.
  • WinPitcherWinPitcher Posts: 27,726 ✭✭✭
Steiner is having trouble getting into the New Rochelle warehouse.

The top rack of 500 lb barrels broke and the barrels crashed and are blocking the

    30 foot wide warehouse doors.

A bulldozer is on it's way.
