I have a friend who brought me back some ancient coins from overseas and I dont know anything about them. Is there anything I should do to preserve them? anything will help, thanks.

I wish I could help you, but I know little about preserving coins. I would probably soak them olive oil first. Did he dig them?

You can store them in Mylar 2x2 flips

Letting them soak in olive oil for a few months will gently loosen some of the encrusted soil/sediments. Every few weeks you can put them in new olive oil and check the progress.

Acetone dips can be used to remove the oil
