Morgan Weight Tolerance -- is a coin over 26.73g suspect?

I am in the process of trying to authenticate a collection of Morgan Dollars that I have purchased over the years, as well as figure out some tips and tricks to avoid buying counterfeits in the future. I purchased a digital scale, and sat down to weigh some of my coins this evening; several of the Morgans that I weighed ended up over weight, coming in between 26.75-26.79g. From what I have read, there is a weight tolerance of .097g on planchets, and I know that a well-worn coin may come in under weight, but have any of you weighed a coin you know to be authentic and found it to be over the weight specification?
