Surely this isn't fandango selling out is it?

I think Fandango is from NY. If this was fandango, you would think he would give all of Pujols' accomplishments and how he is the greatest. Also, I think fandango has a 2001 Fleer Legacy with a real autograph and not a fake one like this auction has.

It can't be Fandango there is no contest attached to it.

It's just time to sell before the reports come out about the positive steroid test.

Exactly! Plus, there's also no pic of him with a game-used Pujols jock draped across his face.

Do you think he will sell the jockstrap?

He probably can't since he has worn a giant hole in it from rubbing it against his cheek.

I heard the prize for winning the stats contest was $50000, so he's been busy liquidating everything he owns.

Probably right, and if so I guess moving the stuff out is a good thing...but I can't see paying $16,000 on modern stuff -- maybe a dealer bought it out? Maybe Pujols himself? j/k.

Some accept the steroid era and some don't. I personally don't. I get the same feeling from a sheet cut card as I do a player on steroids.

    Seriously, though
If someone pieced this out, would they make money?
    I think they might

IDK anything about these cards, but it looks like some are worth some serious money -- maybe the seller just needed the cash up front and quick?

That's truly amazing that someone just dropped $16k for 95 modern cards. Pujols' cards are truly amazing. I am serious. I like to make fun of Fandango but seriously that's pretty amazing! If I had $16k to spend on cards I would spend differently but that is amazing.

    What would be the vice-versa?

on a bright note it was a better use of $16k than dropping it on a 1/1 Strasburg card image

I'm assuming if we had any cards that we would like the seller to see

I took it to mean if there is a card he scanned that we'd rather not see
