With a fresh Vending brick of '78 Topps Football from BBCE. Not sure if I will rip now or wait until tonight, but I'll post scans when I finish.

My UPS guy showed up at about the same time. Not card related (video game/movie related) so no threads or pictures on here as those things always go poof.

Hope you get some goodies out of the box.

Tommy, I thought you were more into 67s and 69s.

Fun little rip. I'd love to rip an entire case of these. Overall it was ok. I got 13 cards that are potential 10's, 5 of which are pop 0's. I may recoup the cost of the box on those alone if it goes well. The two best cards are the Theismann and the Biletnikoff. There is only 1 Biletnikoff 10 so that would ring a bell. The big stars were off a little. The Dorsett is way off center and the Payton is an 8 on a good day due to centering. Oh, and when I opened the box I could see one card in the middle that was mangled. I said to myself, that is probably the Dorsett. I was close, lol.

Wow judging by the centering on the Dorsett it makes sense why there are only six Gem Mint's. I just checked the SMR and $2000 for one. Busting a vending box of these seems like it is better then buying lottery tickets.

    Good luck with your grades.

those max protection savers are just like CS1's and about half the price.
  • That Charlie Joiner looks pretty sweet also. Need to start working on the RCs from that set sometime, I think all I have is Dean in an 8.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
