    Remember when he bought the mansion in, I think, Grosse Point, and then went out with a chain saw and "cleared the trees" from his property?? That was funny, I would have loved to see the expressions on the faces of the neighbors!

    That was in Highland Park in the northern suburbs of Chicago, on Lake Michigan. His house wasn't on the lake, however. I lived nearby, and once came head to head with him at the intersection near his house; he was turning left. I recognized him (not hard when he was driving his wife's white BMW 750i with "MRS T" on the plate), waved to him, and he smiled and waved back. Nice guy! True, his house looked a bit bare without trees, but to each his own.

    Yes, I forgot; it was nearly 20 years ago. They do border each other, with Fort Sheridan and Highwood sort of squeezed in between.
