Looking for info on 1699 Leopold coin (Austria?)

This coin is very small, appears silver and weighs .7 grams. Any info would be appreciated.

  • Pictures in the 17th Century Krause are very dark and hard to make out details.

Possibilities, all with descriptions that match your picture, but unspecified mintages and silver weights, as valued at VG-XF in the 2d Ed. (1999):

    KM#76, Breslau Mint 1 Kreuzer, 17mm, d, $17-60
KM#171, Brieg Mint 1 Kreuzer, (no picture, diameter not specified) $8-75
KM#173, Brieg Mint 3 Kreuzers, (no picture, diameter not specified), $7-65
    KM#1117, Kuttenberg Mint, 1 Kreuzer, diameter 15mm, $6-65
    KM#118, Kuttenberg Mint, 3 Kreuzer, diameter 20mm, $5-55
    KM#1280, Oppeln Mint, 1 Kreuzer, diameter 15mm, $8-70

I have not reviewed the Austrian State coinage, and do not guarantee that your coin is one of the listed types.

  • I believe this one is Vienna mint, KM#1229(#1852 in older KMs), 1 Kruezer.

It's an Austria 1 Kreuzer, Breslau Mint. The denomination is in a cartoche lower in the portrait .. 1 K. VG=$5, XF=$40 in 1996 Krause 17th century. Silver was priced at $5 an ounce then.
