They remind me of the Bengals.

Bengals went out in the first round of the playoffs last year.
  • it looked as though the reds were just happy to be there and didnt want to go any further. Very poor performance.

I'm sure after fighting for a playoff appearance for 6 months the collective Reds had no will advance any further. Either that or they just went up against 3 of the best starters in baseball this season in Halladay, Oswalt, and Hamels. I'm guessing they may have had a little something to do with (3-5 hitters) Votto's 1-10, Rolen's 1-11, or Gomes' o-fer. Having your starting SS trying to play through a strained oblique probably didn't help either. Not to mention Cincy's starting rotation is more built for a long season rather than a short 5-7 game post-season. Cincy could have won game 2, but they had no chance at a series win over Philly.
  • They had a chance to even the series in philly in game 2 but they blew it with inexcusable mistakes on defense.
