They remind me of the Bengals.

    Bengals went out in the first round of the playoffs last year.

    it looked as though the reds were just happy to be there and didnt want to go any further. Very poor performance.

    I'm sure after fighting for a playoff appearance for 6 months the collective Reds had no will advance any further. Either that or they just went up against 3 of the best starters in baseball this season in Halladay, Oswalt, and Hamels. I'm guessing they may have had a little something to do with (3-5 hitters) Votto's 1-10, Rolen's 1-11, or Gomes' o-fer. Having your starting SS trying to play through a strained oblique probably didn't help either. Not to mention Cincy's starting rotation is more built for a long season rather than a short 5-7 game post-season. Cincy could have won game 2, but they had no chance at a series win over Philly.

    They had a chance to even the series in philly in game 2 but they blew it with inexcusable mistakes on defense.
