First, I can tell you that neither one of them are coins. They are both charms. The smaller one appears to be from Annam (Vietnam) from the period 1820-1841 (if authentic).
The larger one is Chinese from the period 1796-1820. However, I strongly suspect it is counterfeit. If the yellow-green color comes off on your fingers it is definitely fake.
That is all for now. I will see if I can find something more a little later.
The phrase on the reverse (the side showing in the top image) of the Annamese piece reads, "Imperial virtue spreads afar." As I mentioned before the Chinese piece is giving me the fake vibe but I like the Annamese charm. The calligraphy is quite nice. This is one reason why I suspect it is real. The Chinese piece has crude calligraphy and has what looks to be fake patina.
From Barker's '...cash coins of Vietnam', "In 1837, a new series of large cash coins was issued during the reign of Minh Mag. These coins all have a value of 60 Van and weigh about 25 to 30 grams.....These coins were initially intended as presentation pieces or royal reward but many of them found their way into circulation."
