Is anyone on the forum bidding/winning the high grade stuff on Ebay tonight?

Wow, I've just been looking at some auctions ending in the next hour and there is a bunch of Mint and Gem stuff(PSA,SGC and BGS) from the 70s and 80s going tonight. Anyone here the lucky new owner(s)?

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all "right-thinking" people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.”

How much is that 1975 PSA 10 Pete Rose going to bring??
  • Pure guess would be $4k.

Ended a little over $2800.00. Wow!
  • Or $2864. Discounted much more than I thought for the appearance/quality of that 10.

The centering looked to be right on...but the surface seemed to have some issues. I would guess that is this case, the grade on the plastic was looked at more than the card was!

Usually is....saw a Hank Aaron card that was a GAI 9, that was miscut on the back (missing a border) and had a smear on the back. Still brought more than the same card in a PSA 7.5 (which the 7.5 looked better than the GAI 9 IMHO).
