    Hi Brian

    No, have you googled them?

I have never heard of them, if it's not in PSA/DNA or Spence I'd pass, unless I knew exactly what they had.

    Take care.

    Good for you.

I've done a lot of business with Piece of the Past over my years. They are run by a guy named Kevin Martin. They typically deal in entertainment autographs, but they occasionally buy historical items from me. Kevin's a good guy. They used to run catalog autograph auctions and probably still do, I just don't hang out much on that side of the business anymore to know, I've gotten more into signed gum cards instead of photos and documents.

FWIW, I wouldn't hesitate to deal with them.

  • Kevin Martin....he also averaged 21.3 points per game with the Rockets!
  • A friend of mine knows him and he authenticated a 2002 Angels World Series ball and a Gretzky signed stick and a few other signed baseballs. I was just wondering if I was to sell them, would people recognize him as a legitimate authenticator?

I would say that people that deal primarily in entertainment autographed photos and things would consider him a "legitimate authenticator", however, for the items you mentioned, I don't think that his cert would help you get maximum dollars for those items. It seems from the responses so far, that of most of the people that have looked at this thread, they don't know a whole lot about him or his skills in this portion of the industry. Considering that the people here collect sportscards and sports memoribilia, than that lack of recognition doesn't look promising for his certs to "add value" in this segment.
