Well hell, this deserved it's own thread, right?

This was the second no hitter in post-season history!! I did not know the Don Larsen perfect game was the only other one until now!


Edit: I meant Don Larsen, not Bob Feller.

amazing how "soft" a no-no it was. no dire threats.

hopefully the phillies will be able to recover from it and take game 2 to put the series in a stranglehold.

Very impressive start for Roy H. Just one of the big 3 starters that will make it tough for any team to beat them in a 5 or 7 game series.
Phils fans must be stoked.

Congratulations on a great performance. Before todays game I gave the Reds no chance in this series. Their chances have now improved quite a bit.

It's a historic type sports event and a great win to begin the playoffs...but I'm still keeping my eye on the big prize...still a long way to go.

One thing that has been overshadowed (for obvious reasons) is that the Reds bullpen only allowed 1 hit over the last 7 1/3 innings. Wouldn't it have been interesting if Volquez hadn't given up any runs. How long would Manual left Hallady in their with a no hitter going?
