Halladay, NO NO through 7!

I hate Philly but it's gonna be hard to beat Halladay, Hamels, and Oswalt in a series. I'm a huge Braves fan so I have hope but nobody can beat Halladay when he's on.

I really liked the gesture for the crowd as the catcher Ruiz walked back to the dugout after the 3rd out strike out in the 8th
he tossed the ball in the stands. That's the stuff that I like to see !

lol, I looked on ebay just to see what Halladay's most valuable rookie was. Thought this was pretty funny.

I hope that Halladay is channeling all of his awesomeness into this one game, and has nothing left for the rest of the post season.

Too bad Volquez laid a big fat egg in the first 1.2 innings. Phillies got only 1 hit for the rest of the game after he left. Would have been interesting to see a 9 inning no-hitter go into extra innings.

  • Very happy for him. He was in a no hope situation for so long with the Blue Jays, and in his first ever season with a contender he pitches a perfect game, wins 20 games, likely will win the Cy Young, gets to the post season and pitches only the 2nd post season no-hitter ever!!! Think he's been waiting for all this or what?!?!? Again, VERY happy for him!!

if memory serves halladay had a no-no going in his major league debut, and was broken up with two outs in the ninth.

Was it me or did the Reds hitters look confused and scared? Great pitching by Halladay. It's either win on Friday or the Series is over.

I think it's over. The Reds had a wonderful season. They deserve to be there, but they are no match for "P" at this point(I don't know who is!)
  • This could not have happened to a nicer, classier ball player. He's gonna win the Cy Young for sure this year (well deserved) too bad he's wasted so many years in Toronto toiling in mediocraty.

He battled a lot of injuries in that part of his career too. Obviously, considering the big payday he got when he signed with the Phillies, he wasn't invisible.

I believe it was his 2nd start. Makes you wonder how the AL east would have played out if doc would of stayed 1 more year, with the BJ's having a very under the radar year.
