NHL opening night TONIGHT!

Not a huge amount of people who care about hockey here, but who is your team? What are you expecting? Any surprises this year? Will the Capitals dominate the regular season and choke when they get to the playoffs??? What about the Coyotes? I doubt I will get a lot of responses, but I will let the 5 of you out there who care break it down!

    My team is the Tampa Bay Lightning. Honestly, all I want is progress-on and off the ice. I want to see a healthy and motivated Lecavalier lead this team. He's been under some serious scrutiny lately and I want to see him return to at least part of his former self! Looking forward to seeing Simon Gagne in a Bolts jersey, if Stamkos can put up big numbers again, and how Victor Hedman and our defense holds up this year.

    Blackhawks for me. We are a different team this year but the best are still here. I do expect alot more from the Caps since they were embarassed last year. Should be a great year.

    Sabres in the playoffs and lose again in the first round. Get rid of Ruff.

    I don't really have a favorite team anymore. Being originally from Detroit, I of course cheer for the Red Wings by default. I really just love to watch the game regardless who is playing.

    Man, I love Hockey. So glad it is back. I cheer more for players than teams. That being said, I would love to see Washington win or, Chicago repeat. Really any hockey is good as long as it isn't the Leafs or Montreal. Not a fan of either of them.

    I'm cheering for my beloved Wings again as usual. Excited to see hockey back, mainly because pro football season is usually done for me already (Lions fan). No change again this year - lol.

    The Canes win the first one!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!! Hey, last year we started out 2-19-2. So this is great! Hopefully we can come out after our first ten games with at least ten points. We don't get a home game until game 8.

    Just got home from the 'Bolts season opener. 5-3 win! Stamkos with 2 goals avoiding any letdown from last year (at least for now), and Lecavalier with a beastly slapshot from the Blue line!



    Always nice to start out the season with a win.....anddd not a bad night out with the girl

    Nice start at 2-0-0 with a shutout from Howard and wrecking the banner-raising in Chicago. For the first time in awhile, I don't have high expectations from the Wings this year, so hopefully they'll surprise me. Gonna need more offense from Hank & Pav though...
