    LOL Thanx PT

I have the tape but not the dispensing machine. I would rather have board members suggestions as the thread b4 had.

ULINE is excellent for a lot of stuff including tape: try www.uline.com/cls_02/Tape

better off with just the roll of tape. You have to cut it into desired lengths and then wet it with a sponge. Can't imagine a dispensing machine not being a bit messy. I buy mine at staples.

    Edited to add:
Tape used for registered mail has to be paper tape. The reinforced Kraft paper tape with glue on one side is ideal (just cut it to length and wet it with a sponge). Taped package has to be able to absorb the postal clerks tamper proof stamp. Plastic tapes are unacceptable for registered mail.

The machine is simple and clean. The machines also can be adjusted to dispense different lengths. Not worth it for an individual though. Scissors are cheap.
  • My P.O. will only accept Paper Tape for Registered Mail. I buy it on eBay and it's usually about $15 for a large roll delivered. The 3" wide tape works best for me but I don't use a dispenser.

I have the tape, a large roll that cost about $8 or so. I have to use scissors to cut it and a moistened sponge to apply it. It is hard to find, but I think I found it in a hardware store or something.
  • Staples....$8.49/roll.......use scissors...amazingly easy

  • The dispensers are really easy, and not at all messy. You measure out the desired length, a sponge on the dispenser moistens it as you go, and a sliding razor cuts it when you have the length you want. Really takes the hassle out of packing up a Registered box. Unfortunately, I don't know where you can buy a new one at this time.
