FSH: 1820 O-103a Curl 2 Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS AU53....TOUGH DATE/VARIETY....SOLD

FSH: 1820 O-103a Curl 2 Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS AU53..............Tough Date and Variety......SOLD
The 1820 CBH has the 3rd lowest mintage in the entire CBH series and happens to be a VERY TOUGH date in the CBH series to find with nice eye appeal IMO. This particular 1820 has amazing luster for the grade and no distracting marks on either side. The strike is excellent for an 1820 which often comes with a mushy appearing obverse, especially the central hair curls. On this one, the hair has nice detail throughout and all the stars are fully struck with the centers clearly seen. On the reverse, the strike is just as sharp, with the eagles feathers clearly defined, along with all 3 arrowheads and the eagle's talons. The Curl 2 variety among 1820 bust halves is definitely scarcer than the Square 2 variety and the later die state "a" model with the neat die crack that starts between the 11 and 12th star and extends to the top of the one in the date is MUCH tougher to find IMO than the normal O-103. This 1820 Curl 2 CBH is in a slightly older PCGS holder. It is VERY nice for the grade and has excellent potential for an upgrade to AU55 IMO.
Asking $1400 (or BEST OFFER) delivered.
Will be shipped via Registered Insured USPS mail at no extra charge.
Payment will be via Personal Check, Money Order, or Bank Check ONLY, sorry NO PAYPAL.
PM me if intersted and thanks for looking.

You must have landed a pretty special upgrade to let this one go.....
Indeed I have, but still I'm having a hard time letting her go
Hopefully, the next owner will appreciate her as much as I have.
