Instead of re-designing them, they should just get rid of them. image

There have been other "fantasy" redesigns by assorted artists published from time to time.

Neil Armstrong? Does that mean we have to execute him first? Might be some who oppose that....

Yup. Interesting but you'll never see anthing like them in circulation.

Those really look like Monopoly money... except the ones that look so cartoonish I'd vote Disney instead.

Thanks, yes, I did several on a whim. This is the one I liked best:

Dump the $1 bill & use $2 bills in their place (in the cash drawer) & use $1 coins.

I'd prefer to see no bills lower than a five. The rest should be coins!

They look cool, I admit. I don't have anything against them, but I personally would not like to see Emily Dickinson, Mark Twain, and Duke Ellington on the banknotes in my wallet.

I like the idea of polymer bank notes better. I carry around a 20 peso note as a conversation piece and have tried to abuse the thing by trying to rip it and getting it wet and they are simply amazing.

I prefer to leave historical figures off circulating coins and currency but if we must have them, Dickinson, Twain, and Ellington would be very good candidates. Dickinson's stare, Twain's wild hair... it'd look great!

These kind of things pop up every few years...the BEPs security methods continue to be the world standard.

(Hmmm --- thought Mr. Carr only made counterfeits….Sorry, but his paper currency design is butt-ugly…looks like a 10yr old did it with paper mache and silver paint…after studying about ancient Egypt.)

Ah yes, $100, payable upon demand, in pure BS.

Anyway, the rest of the world seems to like the way

our money looks. It looks serious , dignified and solid

    even though it isn't.

Those proposed designs look like currencies from some of the third word countries I visit. Maybe it's apropos since we are headed that way. Maybe we go to some transitional currency to break the "greenback" tradition before we go to a world currency.
