I can't believe I read in the paper this AM that two Republicans "didn't think he took Congressional hearings seriously enough".

What's with Congress listening to entertainers?

First, Kevin Costner on oil spill cleanup, now this.

Congress invites a clown to a hearing and then a circus breaks out and everyone is surprised. Unbelievable. I can't wait til Nov 2.

I couldn't believe that they'd invite him to speak in the first place... then I remembered that the government's currently controlled by a party that takes hack comedians, burger-gobbling moviemakers and loudmouth entertainers and holds them up as if they are actually credible sources of political insight or info. Silly me.

Edit to add something numismatic-related and historical... image

It's the classic OT post with "plausible deniability." OP wants to discuss X, so posts a question about "X + collecting." Thread naturally goes in the direction of X because collecting has nothing to do with X and "collecting" is too generic a term to discuss on its own. OP can claim it wasn't OT because the word "collecting" was in the title. I think we've all seen this a few times image
