It's the classic OT post with "plausible deniability." OP wants to discuss X, so posts a question about "X + collecting." Thread naturally goes in the direction of X because collecting has nothing to do with X and "collecting" is too generic a term to discuss on its own. OP can claim it wasn't OT because the word "collecting" was in the title. I think we've all seen this a few times
