Anyone know where or what these New York Yankees Pics are from?

Hey guys,

Had these photos for a long time. They are of Yogi, Mel Allen, Tommy Heinrich, Charlie Keller and Bucky Harris . They measure 9 x 6 1/2. Anyone know what they are or if they are worth keeping or selling> Thanks in advance for your help

During the early 60's the Mets and Yanks had team photo packs and I believe the Yogi is from such a set.

They had a facsimile auto, were blanked back (except for trademark/copyright info and possibly numbered).

I could be wrong, someone else may chime in.

The card looks like it is one of the 1947 - 1950 N.Y. Yankees Picture Pack. They were team-issue sets offered to fans at the souvenir stand more than two dozen pictures of the players and staff. They were 6 1/2" x 9" picturesin black and white with a white border, facsimile auto-graphs and blank backs. The players repeated over the years were represented by the same picture.

I could be wrong, but I have seen several that have this design and that is what they were. I hope this helps.

  • Dialj is correct, these are are a team issue from the late 40's early 50's, some of the envelopes listed the year but others are tough to tell unless you have the full set.
  • Thank You guys for the info image
