The Official Longacre Endorsed™ Restaurants for CoinFest

As a service to the dealers and attendees at the CoinFest show, below is a list of Longacre Endorsed™ eating establishments. There are also many less expensive restaurants in Stamford, CT. The Stamford Town Center, which is an extremely large mall about a block from the Marriott Hotel (where the show will be held) has a large number of casual restaurants and fast food places as part of the mall’s food court. The lower Summer Street/Bank Street area of Stamford has lots of trendy restaurants, pubs, and bars in a range of prices. There is even a classic diner in that area as well!

For a bit more upscale dining, I recommend the following:

Valbella Restaurant
One of Longacre's favorite restaurants. I have never tasted such amazing shrimp in a shrimp c8cktail in my life. They are about as big as your hand, too, but still succulent. Address: 1309 East Putnam Avenue, Riverside, CT 203-637-1155

Paci Restaurant
This restaurant may very well take the spot as “Longacre’s favorite”. The food is simply amazing, though the restaurant is pricey. Almost all of the food is locally grown or purchased, and all of the dishes are homemade. The wine list is amazing, and the service is what one would expect at a top notch restaurant. The restaurant is about 15 minutes from Stamford, right off of I-95, but certainly worth the drive. Website: www.pacirestaurant.com. Here is what a recent review said: “One of the "best new spots" in Fairfield County this Italian "gem" is a "very open" restored railroad terminal (Philippe Starck-style", "gorgeous blonde wood") has "outstanding" fish dishes and desserts; fans "even like the trains running by."” Address: 96 Station St. (Pequot Ave.), Southport, CT 203-259-9600

Homestead Inn/Thomas Henkelmann
A wonderful eating establishment and a very exclusive Inn. Mr. and Mrs. Longacre have stayed in the Inn a few years ago, and dined in the restaurant. Address: 420 Field Point Road, Greenwich, CT 203-869-7502

Il Falco
Il Falco in Stamford, which is a really nice Italian restaurant. Il Falco is somewhat small, but you get personal service and the traditional Italian food is outstanding. Address: 59 Broad Street, Stamford, CT 203-327-0002

Restaurant Jean Louis
A spectacular eating establishment. If you're ever in Greenwich--and if you have the means-- I highly recommend stopping by. Tell Jean Louis I said hi. Address: 61 Lewis Street, Greenwich, CT 203-622-8450

Ocean 211

A very nice seafood restaurant, although there are other items on the menu as well. The seafood is always fresh, and the bar is pretty good as well. The restaurant is located in the heart of Stamford on Summer Street, and within walking distance to the “restaurant district” in Stamford (the Summer Street/Bank Street area). This restaurant is well worth the visit. Website: www.ocean211.com. Address: 211 Summer Street, Stamford, CT 203-973-0494

Kotobuki Restaurant

I have never eaten at this restaurant, but those who have said it is good. I cannot provide any more details than that. It is probably worth a visit. The restaurant is a few doors down from Ocean 211. Website: www. kotobukijapanese.onsmartpages.com. Address: 457 Summer Street, Stamford, CT 203-359-4747.
